The Greater Accra Regional Hospital has received a significant donation of medical equipment from the Czech Republic. The equipments were officially handed over by His Excellency Pavel BÃlek, the Czech Ambassador to Ghana.
The donation, which includes two Plasmatico sterilization devices and accompanying materials, was presented during a brief but impactful ceremony held at the hospital.
This generous support was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Dr. John Yao Logah, CEO of the Bone Marrow Transplant and Stem Cell Centre at Level 2 Day Surgical Unit in GARH – Ridge and Mr. Martin Habart, CEO of S.E.D.A Group Ghana.
Their partnership played a pivotal role in securing the equipment, which was delivered through the Czech ambassador to Ghana.
The donation forms part of an ongoing collaboration between the Czech Republic and local healthcare stakeholders aimed at strengthening Ghana’s medical infrastructure and infection control systems.

As part of his visit, Ambassador Pavel BÃlek was also taken on a guided tour of the Bone Marrow Transplant and Stem Cell Centre, the first of its kind in Ghana.
He was introduced to the advanced services being offered as he commended the initiative as a major step forward in specialized healthcare in the country.
Management of the Greater Accra Regional Hospital expressed profound gratitude to Dr. Logah and Mr. Martin Habart for their foresight, initiative, and unwavering support.
The hospital also extended appreciation to the Czech Embassy and S.E.D.A Group for their continued commitment to improving healthcare delivery in Ghana.
This donation is expected to significantly boost the hospital’s sterilization capacity, improve infection prevention measures, and enhance overall patient care.
